Count your many blessings, name them one by one, count your many blessings see what God has done. I remember singing this song as a child, but I never really thought about the words of it until I became an adult. Once I became an adult, I began to understand. Sometimes, we are given blessings that no one else sees or knows about, small blessings that find their way into our lives at just the right moment. One of the things that always upset my husband is that every time we had some extra funds come in above the normal amount something would happen and cause it to have to be used. It could never be just put in a rainy-day fund or used for something fun for the family, but at least we had the blessing of the extra funds and were able to get the things fixed. Other blessings can be huge. During the snow-pocalypse, I saw so many people come together to bless each other, sharing freely with others: from opening churches, to opening their homes to people to stay warm, get a hot meal or even a shower. Watching it unfold made me so proud to be a part of this community. Sometimes blessing someone can be as simple as a word of kindness. Other times God calls upon our hearts to do something bigger. Look at the blessings in your life no matter how small, and look at what you can do to bless others. ~Robin
