Our desire is for you to have a FIRM FOUNDATION in Christ for your life and your family. Having this firm foundation will enhance your ability to thrive in all areas of life: marriage, parenting, friendship, work, and more. Here at First Baptist, we believe there are three crucial areas in which we can help you continue to build that firm foundation:

1. Bible Study – Each Sunday at 10:00am, the young adults meet in the church’s gym (Youth & Family Life Center). Most weeks, we have a video-driven Bible study, followed by facilitated discussion. On Wednesdays, we invite you to participate in a Bible study group that is for all ages, from young adults to seniors. Pastor Drew leads a prayer time, and then he teaches the Bible study lesson.

2. Christian Community (a.k.a. “fellowship”) – Being part of the young adult Sunday School class will give you a sense of community with people who are at the same stage of life as you, a few years ahead of you, and a few years behind you. As we gather around God’s Word together, God uses this to strengthen the bonds of Christian friendship, and these Christian friendships give us an emotional and spiritual support structure. We all face trials, and we want to be there for each other, whatever we’re going through. These Christian friendships also provide us with a sense of accountability, which is something we might not always want but, deep down, know we all need. We all face temptations, and we need to be there for each other, having each other’s backs, and helping each other stay strong.

3. Christian Service – Besides Bible Study and Christian Community, God also uses service to strengthen our foundation in Christ. Here at First Baptist, there are several opportunities for service: youth ministry, children’s ministry, media/tech ministry, just to name a few. Whichever area of service God lays on your heart, we encourage you to volunteer to serve… because serving will help strengthen your foundation in Christ.
